Heat stress: minimising the consequences with feed management

Heat stress is a major concern in dairy herd management, negatively impacting farm welfare, performance and profitability. Furthermore, in view of global climate change – with an estimated average increase in global temperature of between 0.5 and 4.8°C by 2100 – heat stress episodes are expected to become more frequent on farms.
